Born and raised in New York City, Melissa received her undergraduate degree in computer science from MIT and a master's degree in computational finance from Carnegie Mellon. After years working as a quantitative strategist at Goldman Sachs, Melissa was inspired by a project with her interior designer to follow a more creative path and pursue a lifelong interest in jewelry. She began her foray into fine jewelry design by completing a two-year program at FIT before launching her eponymous brand in 2013.
